Objectives

  • Know the principles of BIM methodology.

  • Ability to develop an industrialised building project using BIM tools.  

  • Ability to evaluate the suitability to incorporate parametric systems in the design processes. 

  • Ability to design architectural components with parametric design tools. 

  • Ability to value the design from an analytic point of view.

  • Ability to work in a transversal way with the rest of the agents that get involved in the life cycle of the building.

 

Contents

  • Introduction to BIM methodology and its relation with industrialisation. 

  • BIM within the parametric systems context. 

  • Level of Development vs Level of Geometric Detail.

  • Building Information Modelling using pre-configured systems and components.

  • Control and Visualisation of Building Information Models.

  • Building Information Modelling of customised components in order to be used in an isolated way or as a part of parametric systems.
